Vernon Mount

Location: N25 South Ring Road, Cork, Co. Cork

Description: It is a hardpacked soil based track perched on the hillside overlooking Cork city. The track has some steep up-hill and down-hill sections along with several drop-offs, ski jumps and tabletops. There is a lot of history surrounding this track, in the early 90's it was the home of the Irish Motocross Grand Prix and it is still popular with riders and fans.

Directions:

From Dublin:
From the M50, take the N7 exit for Cork/Limerick. At Portlaoise take the N8 (signposted Cork). Stay on the N8/M8 all the way to Cork City. Approaching Cork City on the N8, go through the Jack Lynch Tunnel bringing you onto the N25. The track is about 5 miles along the N25 on your left. You need to take the slip road off the the N25 (slip road sign posted N27/Kinsale Road). Almost straight after taking the slip road you will see another small road on your left with a sign post for Vernon Mount. This road leads you to the paddock.

From Waterford:
Follow the N25 from Waterford right untill you are approaching Cork city. In order to stay on the N25 accessing the south ring road you will need to look for signs for the Jack Lynch Tunnel (which will be a slip road to your left). The track is about 5 miles from the tunnel along the N25 on your left. You need to take the slip road off the the N25 (slip road sign posted N27/Kinsale Road). Almost straight after taking the slip road you will see another small road on your left with a sign post for Vernon Mount. This road leads you to the paddock.
