Sponsorship Update

The MCI Motocross Committee took great delight in welcoming Great Stuff Catering back as title sponsors for the 2011 season. Great Stuff will be providing all trophies for the championship with a cash contribution towards the prize money for Grade A. Their interest in promoting the sport of Motocross has to be commended and their brand name is now synonymous with Motocross in Ireland. MCI now look forward to another season with Great Stuff Catering, hopefully it will be a relationship that will continue to grow into the future.

Additionally, MCI Motocross is hugely excited about the involvement of Honda Europe in sponsoring selected MCI Southern Centre Youth Championship events in 2011. This sponsorship package will be based on the 85cc/150f Big Wheel class and registration is open to Honda 150f riders. Four Honda riders need to register to compete in the 3 selected rounds of the Southern Centre Youth Championship.

Honda’s package will include:
Hoodies, t-shirts and stickers for all riders.  
Hoodies and t-shirts for any adult staff attending events on behalf of Honda Ireland.
Prizes for overall 1st and 2nd placed riders

1st:         €1,000 voucher to spend at CCM or Honda Ireland dealership on Honda Goods
Full set of One Industries kit, Airoh Helmet, Full set of plastics, podium bike stand, No-toil super flo kit, Vans trainers, Renthal cap and bars, silicone hoses, Xtreme trophy.

2nd:       €500 voucher to spend at CCM or Honda dealership on Honda Goods. One Industries clothing, Airoh Helmet, full set of plastics, No-toil super flo kit, Vans trainers, Renthal cap and bars, Xtreme trophy.

In addition to overall prizes, there will be an Xtreme Academy award trophy for the top Honda rider at each race event.

The events selected for Honda supported rounds are Ferns (4th June), Doon (2nd July) and Limerick (16th July).

The MCUI Adult Irish Championship also receives a new sponsor for 2011 in the form of G&G Ross, a stonecrushing business based in Dundonald NI. G&G Ross Supported a number of riders during the 2010 campaign and have another step forward this year to become title sponsor for the Irish Championship. The company is contributing £5000 GBP towards the series which will be divided between the clubs running the series.

 

MCI Southern Centre Championship – Venue Changes

Due to the current planning situation with East Cork MCC’s track at Park the committee has been forced to make venue changes for some championship events this year.  Championship dates will not be affected.  Riders are reminded that they can drop one round of southern centre youth and adult championships including U21s & O35s and their points will not be affected.

  • Round 2 of MCI Great Stuff Catering Championship on 9th/10th April will now be hosted by Wexford Offroad at their venue in Clonroche. Round 8 of the series, 1st/2nd October, will now be hosted by Dundalk and District MCC at their venue in Dundalk.
  • Round 3 of the MCI U21 / O35 / Quad Championship on 17th April will now be hosted by North Dublin MCC at their venue in Gormonston with round 6 of the series, 4th September, will now be hosted by East Cork MCC.
  • Round 2 of the MCUI Irish Youth Championship on the 16th April will be hosted by East Cork MCC at Vernon Mount.
